Simon "The Ertquake" Ert studied percussion and acting at the Mc Donald College of Performing Arts. Then Studied Percussion at the Sydney Conservatorium of music with David Jones and privately with John Morrison. He has also studied in New York and Los Angeles with Mike Clarke (of Herbie Hancock ..Head-hunters) Carl Allan and Jeff Hamilton (of the Ray Brown trio), with whom he maintains regular contact. Simon has performed extensively as a Drummer with the likes of Little Pattie, James Morrison, Andrew Firth, Bobby Gebert, Col Nolan, Roger Frampton, Blaine Whittaker, Dom Halpin and the Suspects, Woody and the Senator, The Harbour City Jazz Band, Don Burrows, Members of the Danish Radio Orchestra, Eroll Buddle and many others. |

As a performer Saul has worked with many of Australia's leading Jazz artists and groups including Ed Wilson, John Morrison and Swing City Big Band, Andrew Firth, Roger Frampton, Don Burrows, Col Nolan, Keith Stirling and Tony and Bob Barnard. He has also played with international artists including Sherrie Maricle, Mike Tomaro, John Thomas, Dennis Wilson, Lou Fischer and Jeff Jarvis. |
